Frequently asked questions
How to get started with cyberBind.
Access and transition
There’s nothing required to prepare for the transition, however we recommend completing the following steps before the go-live date.
1. Activate your access
You will receive your cyberBind login details one week before the transition. Once received, log in and set your new password to ensure your access is ready for go-live.
2. Check your in-progress quotes
If you have any open or in-progress quotes in DXC, make sure all mandatory fields are completed before the transition. Quotes with all required information completed will be carried over and available in cyberBind after the transition. Quotes with missing mandatory fields will not be accessible once the DXC portal is switched off.
We recommend activating your access as soon as you receive your login details so you are ready to use cyberBind from the go-live date.
If you do not activate your account immediately, you can still do so later using the credentials provided in your welcome email.
Once the transition takes place, the DXC portal will no longer be available and all transactions will be managed through cyberBind.
Until your cyberBind account has been activated, you will not be able to log in or transact.
If you can’t find your welcome email or need assistance accessing your account, please contact us at info@emergenceinsurance.com.au.
One week before the transition, brokers will receive an email with their temporary cyberBind password.
You can activate your account and set a new password as soon as you receive these details. However, you will not be able to transact in cyberBind until the official go-live date.
The transition to cyberBind will take place on the scheduled go-live date as a direct switch from the DXC portal. On this day:
– The DXC portal will be switched off.
– cyberBind will become the active platform for managing renewals, quotes and policy activity.
– Users will be able to log in to cyberBind using their email address and temporary password.
No. From go-live date, the DXC portal will be switched off and will no longer be accessible. All policy, quote and renewal activity will move to cyberBind.
Policies and renewals
You can search for open quotes using either the quote number, or the insured name in the Policy Dashboard within cyberBind.
Remember, only quotes with all mandatory fields filled in will have been carried over to cyberBind.
To access policies that are not yet up for renewal, please reach out to our team.
You will receive a renewal notification approximately 60 days before your policy renewal date. At that point, your renewal quote will become available to view and manage directly within cyberBind.
The question flow in the cyberBind broker portal has been optimised. You may still be using an older proposal form with a different order of questions.
You can obtain the latest proposal form via emergenceinsurance.com
Open or in-progress quotes that have all mandatory fields completed will be carried across and will be available in cyberBind.
Quotes that are still incomplete or missing required information will not transition to the new portal. In these cases, you will need to start a new quote in cyberBind after the transition.
Documents for the current expiring policy period (renewals) will be available in the Supporting Documents section of your policy in cyberBind (Go to the Policy Dashboard and click on the policy to open). Select the Supporting Documents tab (top right).
Supporting documents will be provided as a zipped file named using your core policy number digits.
If you need documents from an earlier policy period, please contact an Underwriter at info@emergenceinsurance.com.au for assistance.
Policies will become available to view and manage in cyberBind once they are within 60 days of their renewal date.
This means:
– Policies approaching renewal in the next 60 days will appear in cyberBind.
– Policies that are not yet nearing renewal will become visible closer to their renewal period.
Core policy numbers will remain the same in cyberBind, although the format may look slightly different. The main policy digits will stay consistent, and you will be able to search for policies using those core digits.
Renewal quotes issued through cyberBind will have a different quote number format.
